Worton Farms Compost

Worton Farms Compost is located next to M&M Skips at Cassington.

Green waste comes in from Christmas Tree collections and other sources. Until 2005, Worton Farms used to have the contract for community tips such as Dean but this green waste now goes to Agrivert.

Shredded Christmas Trees

Green waste is shredded and stored in windrows for several weeks until the material has been converted to compost. The material is then passed through a Trommel to separate out the different sized particles.

The compost is also mixed with the soil recovered from M&M Skips to make SupaSoil which is sold on to turfing suppliers as the growing medium for turfs.
