The Wave - Come together to stop climate chaos

On Saturday 5 December 2009, ahead of the crucial UN climate summit in Copenhagen, 50,000 people from all walks of life flowed through the streets of London to demonstrate their support for a safe climate future for all. The Wave was organised by the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition. It was organised as a family-friendly event.

The march set off at 1pm from Grosvenor Square, down Picadilly, through Trafalgar Square, down Whitehall, past Downing Street, past the Houses of Parliament, over Lambeth Bridge, up Lambeth Palace Road and returned over Westminster Bridge. So by 3pm the march had encircled Parliament and there was a climax of noise and waving of blue hands to voicing demands for action about climate change.

We want the UK Government to Quit Dirty Coal, Protect the Poorest and Act Fair & Fast.
